As a child I remember being trapped inside my first grade classroom at lunch and recess because of the torrential rains brought by El Nino. At that time in my life the rain was tortuous, and until just recently I still wasn't as
appreciative of it's beauty as I am today. However, this year I have seen many beautiful and awe-inspiring events brought by the rain. I took an early morning drive to photograph a lull in the rains and I am pretty happy with what I was able to capture. The air is so crisp after rain and to my surprise my lens was able to do the beauty justice. As I write this I hear the pitter-patter of the rain on my roof and I realize how fortunate I am to have a non-leaking roof over my head and car to drive. I am thankful :)
